Coming close behind him was freshman Eli Gruenbacher with a time of 21:42.  Senior Jonathan Jacka came in 27th place in 22:20. Sophomore Bailey Watts ran a time of 23:47. Watts improved his time from last year on the same course where he ran 25:23.

“I ran super hard, and was really happy with my PR from last year, I can't wait to keep improving as a team and individually,” commented Watts.

The Quinter and Wheatland/Grinnell teams compete again in Grainfield at the Wheatland meet beginning at 3:00 on Thursday, October 11.  This meet will mark the final regular season meet of the year.
