Title I

QES is a Title I school. Since every class has time built into its schedule for reading and math interventions, all students receive some type of support and students do not miss any new instruction while receiving Title I services.

As a parent in a Title I school, you may request information regarding the professional qualifications of your child’s classroom teachers at any time. You will be notified if your child is instructed for four or more continuous weeks by a teacher that does not meet the definition of “highly qualified”.

Additionally, you may request access to your child’s state assessment scores at any time. State assessments are administered in the spring to students in grades 3-6, and parent reports are issued as soon as we receive students’ scores.

At any time, you may access Kansas school, district, and state report cards at http://ksreportcard.ksde.org/. These report cards provide school, district, and state level data pertaining to assessment results, demographics, teacher qualifications, performance indicators, and more.

2018 – 2019 Parent Involvement Policy

Parent-School Compact: Learning Agreement

The Parent Involvement Policy and Parent-School Compact are reviewed and updated annually by the QES Site Council. We encourage any parent or community member to be a part of these meetings and we would like ample representation from parents of Title I students. If you are interested in joining the QES Site Council, please contact Wanda at 785-754-3741.
