QHS Graduates 19

Quinter High School graduated 19 seniors on May 13 at 3:00 p.m.  Family, friends, and community members gathered in the QHS gymnasium for commencement ceremonies.

Valedictorian Sarah Bird and Salutatorian Ashley Miller addressed the class and crowd.  The two focused on the classes motto and the "Parable of the Pencil" to remind their classmates to leave their mark on everything they touch.

"It was an honor to be the valedictorian. Although giving a speech was super nerve wracking, it was worth the hard work throughout high school!" commented Bird.

Mrs. Linda Zeigler gave a commencement address, challenging the students again to leave their mark while recognizing all the people who had a hand in helping the seniors achieve their dreams and goals to this point.  Following the commencement address, students viewed a slide show created by Brooke Blackwill and Leah Tebow.  Students then received their diplomas and walked across the stage.

"It felt amazing to graduate with my class. I've gotten the chance to become friends with may of the students here at QHS and I will miss them all next year," commented Isaiah Simpson.
