FFA Greenhands start year at conference

On Monday, November 5 the freshmen of the Quinter FFA chapter travelled to Almena for the Greenhand Conference. The freshmen attend this conference to learn about FFA and their traditions. The students attending included Trenton Clubb, Bradley Riedel, Ava Gillespie, Kyler Johnson, and Jaden Boone.

At this conference, members learned about different things that go into making FFA the organization it is. They also have a chance to win awards. Two awards are given at this conference, one to the person who scored the highest on the FFA information test taken at the beginning of the day, and one to the student who says the National FFA Creed the best way. The winner of this award is able to compete at the state FFA Contest.

“I enjoyed learning about FFA and can't wait to apply my knowledge to my chapter,” added Ava Gillespie.

The members enjoyed learning about the different FFA parts and now know how to be the best member they can be.
