FCA Lock-In and Soup for a Cause
Rummel, Julie
The Quinter High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes held a Lock-In and a Soup Supper on Friday and Saturday, February 1 and 2.
The Annual FCA Lock-In kicked off with a pizza party. Speakers Jesse and Alisha Bauman shared their faith story with the students in attendance, inspiring many.
“It was really helpful and inspiring to hear Jesse Bauman’s testimony,” commented Evie Gruenbacher. Following Bauman’s speech, students gathered for fellowship, spending the night eating snacks and playing games.
The next day, FCA held their second annual Soup for a Cause event. Last year the event started as a way for FCA members to raise money for a cause they believed strongly in. This year the group elected to raise money for the Lafe and Jodi Gillespie family and Isaac Wolf family. Free will donations were accepted as the group raised funds to help these two families with medical and other expenses.
“I’m so proud of our FCA kids for wanting to give back to their community,” commented sponsor Mrs. Leanna Wylie.
