Bulldog Cross Country Compete in State Meet

On Saturday, October 27, the Bulldog cross country team traveled to Wamego to compete in the Kansas State Cross Country Meet. Senior Oura Chester placed 17th overall, and the Bulldogs came in eighth place as a team.

In the boy’s race, Chester led the Bulldogs, coming in 17th with a time of 18:31, followed by Jonathan Jacka in 56th place with a time of 20:09. Collin Theilen and Eli Gruenbacher finished close behind with Theilen placing 62nd in 20:44.8 and Gruenbacher in 63rd with a time of 20:44.9. Bailey Watts finished 73rd with a time of 21:55.

“It was all such a fun experience. I’m really proud of myself and my team, we worked hard all season for that race, and it was worth it,” stated Chester.
