Quinter had five runners in the meet and all five meddled.  Runners included Jonathan Jacka, Oura Chester, Bailey Watts, Collin Helene, and Eli Gruenbacher. The boys team also took second overall.

On the varsity team, Chester ran a personal best of 19:26, giving him a third place medal. Gruenbacher placed 13th out of 31 runners with a time of 20:40, also beating his last personal record. Trailing closely behind with a time of 21:01, Jacka finished the race in 15th place and Thielen followed in 16th with a time of 21:02. For the junior varsity race, Watts placed third with a time of 23:03. Both Thielen and Watts also PR’ed in the meet.

“It was humid, I thought it was going to be awful to run in. It ended up being pretty nice weather and I’m glad my time improved from last year’s meet,” commented Jacka.

The cross country team will travel to for Wakeeney to compete at the Trego Community Invitational Meet on Thursday, September 12.  The meet will begin at 4:30 p.m.
